Your Question is not clear. Please tell us When did you apply for immigration and under which category.Which CIC office is dealing your case. Why they asked you to wthdraw your application. Have you received your file number? if so you could find progress of you case by visiting CIC website.

i applied through London CHC and received my AOR Last year May.

I did get a letter asking if i wanted to continue with my application under skilled worker which i applied and said that i can cancel my applicationa nd receive a full refund at this time.

If i wish to continue than not do anything and they will process.

I just wanted to know how long from now as they have had my application over a year and was told not to contact them unless my address changes as this could hinder my application.

I did this and now they asking me this silly question.

Is it to waste more time.

Well you have allowed them to process your application that means you will not be entitled to refund of fees that you have paid ,if you wanted to withdraw your case now. There is a huge backlog and CIC is changing rules for immigration. Wait & see what happens after the elections? A clear policy however will be in public once the elections are over.

If the Conservatives and Prime Minister Stephen Harper are re-elected, their new immigration priorities (which are, as yet unknown to the public) will finally be put into practice. If not, other political parties plan to repeal the amendments and introduce their own strategies for modernizing and streamlining the Canadian immigration system.
Good luck

MrJason, they have been sending people letters like that lately, probably means they are getting ready to work on your application sometime soon. I am sure after waiting for over a year that a lot of peoples situations change and they are just giving you the heads up that if you have changed your mind, this is your last call for full refund.
