How can you check if a university is "publicly funded"

Hello.

One of the requirements to be eligible for Post grad work permit and ultimately CEC is to have studied in a publicly funded university or college. My question is how can you find out if it is publicly funded? Is there a list?

I know it would be best to ask the University straight. But sometimes "are you publicly funded university?" confuses the respondent there. Sometimes I get the run around and given vague answers.

Specifically right now I'm looking at Sheridan College in Toronto. Anyone know how to check if they are qualified for CEC and PGW?

Thanks!

YES SHERIDAN COLLEGE IS QUALIFIED.. WHAT THEY MEAN BY PUBLIC FUNDED SCHOOLS ARE THOSE SCHOOLS THAT ARE NOT PRIVATE SCHOOLS. ONLY PUBLIC POST SECONDARY SCHOOLS ARE QUALIFIED EXCEPT ONE PRIVATE SCHOOL IN QUEBEC.
U MIGHT BROWSE THROUGH SHERIDAN COLLEGE WEBSITE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS OPTIONS.. U NEED OFF CAMPUS WORK PERMIT DURING SCHOOL PERIOD AND POST GRADUATE WORK PERMIT AFTER U GRADUATE.
U NEED A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS PROGRAM TO QUALIFY FOR CEC.
