How can i pay my Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)??

I'm sending my passport from Mexico to the Detroit office.


Can I send a certificate cheque from a Canadian bank? Can they cash a canadian certificate cheque in the United States?

What do you suggest?

As I know, Detroit office only accepts following payment instruments;
- Bank draft
- Money order
- Cashier's cheque

If paying in Canadian funds, make your payment instrument payable to the Receiver General for Canada. Payment in Canadian funds by certified cheque must be drawn on a bank located in Canada.

But those are probably subject to change at any time. (I'm not sure... I'm afraid)
I recommend you to check Detroit office's webpage for up-to-date information before paying.
