How can I find out about my application?

hey there,

i'm growing concerned...we applied outland in september, 2014...in the middle of october i received an email that the translation of my german police certificate was missing, so i got on it right away and CIC must have received it by the end of october the latest.
after not having heard anything on sponor approval i sent an email december 17, 2014 for an update. all i got back was an email stating that our application is in the process and "to keep the communication to a minimum"...

so now i just went on their website to check up on application status there using UCI number/application number to get in...but its telling me they can't log me in with the provided information and that could mean that our application isn't being processed yet...i don't understand????

has someone had similar experience? what is all that supposed to mean?

We cannot comment on individual applications, but generally the processing time for stage 1 (which is currently at 85 days/working on applications received on October 22nd) begins when CIC deems your application complete. If they received your PCC by the end of October then add 85 days to that date. This is when you should receive sponsor approval.

I presume in their communication with you they gave you a UCI number and a file number? Generally the first communication is receiving sponsor approval and it is after receiving SA that you can log-in to ECAS so perhaps you have to wait until then.

For example I knew my UCI and my wife's UCI but it was not until we received SA that we could log-in to ECAS.
