How can a US Software developer get a Canadian work permit ? NAFTA ?

Hello.
I am a software developer with a B.A in computer sciences and a US citizenship.
I do not live in the US.

I would like to get a work permit to work and live in Canada.
There is a company that is interested in giving me a job offer,
but they don't want to go through the LMO process.

Can the NAFTA agreement help here ?
