I'm doing my research of Canadian labour market and want to find out how aware BC employers of Tech Pilot Program?
During my brief work in US, I saw how reluctant US companies were about working with H1B applicants due to costly process and not guaranteed results. The place I was working for filtered out all applications where applicant specified that they need a visa sponsorship. So HR's won't ever even look at such applications.
As far as I understood, in Canada situation is quite similar and it's next to impossible to find an employer who will do LMIA for you (at least in IT). However there are PNP programs that doesn't require employers to go through "visa sponsorship".
So if you work in the industry do you know, how aware BC tech companies of such opportunity? Does it worth to mention in the cover letter, that though I don't have work permit in Canada right now, I don't need anything from you except regular job offer?
