Hello experts!

This forum has been helping me alot in putting up my new TRV application. Thanks again to you all.

I have 2 questions
1. My wife and 2 kids(2 years old) are canadian born. I have been married since 2011 and my wife lives in my home country with me. 2 years ago we had our kids. OK this is my question how to I prove to CIC that my wife lives with me and is not living in Canada? We travel every 2 years to see her mom and family and come back to my home country. What can I provide as proof?

2. In my first application TRV, my mother in law sent me a municipality letter of invitation and my sister in law as well....they did not write me a letter. My sister had put that they will accommodate us for a period of 4 months and my sister in law said 6!!!!!!! That was a TOTAL mistake as my vacation granted from my employer is only 2 months. My question is should in my new TRV send 2 letters of invitations from the municipality + their tax notice + photocopy of their passport + letter of invitation written by them personally OR only one invitation with tax notice personal letter passport photocopy and municipal letter? ?

Thanks again for you all...waiting patiently

Hi,

OK this is my question how to I prove to CIC that my wife lives with me and is not living in Canada?
You can include documents which state the same residence address for your wife and yourself.

Family registry, residency permit, lease agreement, bank accounts, credit cards, driver's license, etc

My question is should in my new TRV send 2 letters of invitations from the municipality + their tax notice + photocopy of their passport + letter of invitation written by them personally OR only one invitation with tax notice personal letter passport photocopy and municipal letter? ?
You can include only one invitation letter (with the relevant host documents)

Cheers

Oh thank you so much Bryanna for your response. It is very much appreciated coming from you.

Would it make my case stronger if both of my mother in law and sister in law invited me on the same letter of invitation?

Another question I was wondering. Should my employer have the letter of employment with the head of the "company" on it? I work at the army and the is no such thing as a letter stating that on the head of paper. Therefore can it be in blank paper or it will not be as relevant?

Sorry my 2 questions became 3 and 4 and 5 hahha. Another one. Are my family ties and job good enough reasons fromCIC to know and be assured I will be back. ..as I do not have property on my name. It is o my dad's name but have been living at the same place my entire life. All my family lives here. We basically go to canada since I married my canadia wife. We visit once every 2 years. I was granted visitor visa he first 2 times I applied but the 3rd they refused it because of Purpose of visit. So I am trying to make my case strong. Your advice will be very much appreciated thank you.

You're welcome :)

Would it make my case stronger if both of my mother in law and sister in law invited me on the same letter of invitation?
Are both employed or is your MIL retired?
Do they live in the same city?
Do they have adequate individual bank balances (although the host's finances are not necessary for a TRV)?

Should my employer have the letter of employment with the head of the "company" on it?
Unofficial stationery (blank paper) will not appear legit. In fact, it could wrongly appear that you are A.W.O.L. (Absent Without Leave) or deserting the military.

You can include copies of the forms you filled for your leave approval + an official document from your unit command to prove your leave has been sanctioned + contact details of your unit command (in case the visa office would like to confirm your leave/employment conditions) + proofs that you are entitled to/have accumulated 62 days of leave

You can include copies of the rules book/your employment letter which states the repercussions of not resuming your military duties + the benefits you will lose if you break the contract.

Are my family ties and job good enough reasons fromCIC to know and be assured I will be back
With a Canadian wife and two Canada-born children, your family ties to Canada will always appear stronger than those to in your home country.

Apart from the above:
1. Do include proofs that your entire family lives at the same address + you have lived at the same address all your life

2. Are your family dependent on you financially or for their well-being? If yes, do include proofs for this

3. Is your bank balance sufficient to pay for the airfare for yourself, your wife and your kids?

4. Do you have credit cards with low dues?

5. Do you have any financial investments which are not locked-in?

6. You should stress on your contract + you do not intend to apply for PR in the foreseeable future due to your employment contract and family responsibilities + you'd like your MIL/wife's family to spend some time with her grandchildren as she cannot travel to your home country

7. Do you have any must-return-by-XX-date event outside of your work? Any family event? Legal or business matter?

8. Do draw up a broad day-by-day itinerary of tourist places/visit family and friends (you'd need not be out and about sightseeing everday :) ) + if you will be attending any planned family event when you visit Canada

9. Have you traveled to any other country in the last 10 years (aside of Canada)?

All documents must be in English..... or translated into English by a certified translator.

Any or all of the above reasons must be supported by evidence.... statements/claims/assurances do not work, evidence will make the difference

Wow Bryanna you're so detailed! Thank you so much!

1. My mother in law and sis in law live togheter In the same home. My MIL is not retired. I could make them write an invitation letter stating :"We would like to invite etc.." or not?
2. Yes of course I got that letter that stated that my leave was sanctioned and approved for 62 days and I got it translated also. I just don't have a letter of employer and they just don't do that. The 62 days approval letter is the only thing I got. I could also, like you said, include the rules of not coming back and me facing military court. I will look into that.it could help.
A question concerning my 62 days leave. Should I just ask for 4 weeks or I can ask for 9 weeks? In my last TRV which was 3 weeks ago I asked for 9 weeks. Will they get suspicious
of if I ask for 4 weeks now and will they mind that my leave is 62 days?

3.- Noone is dependent on me.
- I will try to get a statement saying we live all under one roof.
-My MIL intends to pay for the tickets should I include this in my cover letter? Can you take a look at my cover letter?
-no financial investments
- no must ro return by date
- you mean a day by day itinerary or a week by week itinerary? With tourist place to go to? Or I basically focus on visiting my wife's family aunts cousins etc...

Bryanna, for sure I intend to apply for immigrant but for now I cannot in the futur of course but my job contract has to be terminated for me to apply. Do I mention that to them or just ignore it that it is in my futur plans?

Basically I have to stress about my job contract and family ties as it is my only real ties to my home country.

Another question. They're refusal was purpose of visit. With me pointing out that I have lived in my home country all my life, that I have a job contract to come back to and by including a day by day or week by week itinerary and by showing them airline reservation tickets does all of these points answer the purpose of visit refusal. Am I on the right track?

Thank you once again for answering my inquiries.

Hi,

Sure. Sounds perfect

A question concerning my 62 days leave. Should I just ask for 4 weeks or I can ask for 9 weeks?
Plans change. So it won't look suspicious as long as everything you state/claim is backed by evidence.

While you have accumulated 62 days of leave.... wanting to spend all of it in Canada, makes your ties to your home country seem quite weak.

Chalk out an itinerary for 3-4 weeks (tourist and family visits).... and include some event/reason to return to your home country after your Canada visit.

My MIL intends to pay for the tickets should I include this in my cover letter?
IMO this is a big no-no.... at least, on paper, for your TRV application.

The more ties you show to Canada.... and this is financial dependence, the lesser your chances of getting a TRV.

You must prove you are financially sufficient/can pay for yourself and your family's visit

- no must ro return by date
Try and find something. Anything. With evidence. It will make your case stronger

you mean a day by day itinerary or a week by week itinerary? With tourist place to go to? Or I basically focus on visiting my wife's family aunts cousins etc
Combination of tourism and family events.... with some days of relaxing at home/watching TV thrown in between.... make it realistic

Do I mention that to them or just ignore it that it is in my futur plans?
Some people say it helps to state no inland PR apps just yet..... some people might be concerned that saying anything like this now can affect their PR applications later.

It's best if you take a call on this

I have to stress about my job contract and family ties as it is my only real ties to my home country.
IMO, your ties:
1. Only your employment (and the consequences of being an AWOL)
2. Family ties (to your home country) are weak

The weak points for your TRV:
1. Canadian wife and kids
2. No other travel history
3. Financial situation is not strong
4. No property or assets in your name

What you can work on:
1. Include a must-return-by-date event which must convince the visa officer that you will return
2. Postpone your holiday (if possible) to 1-2 months later.... to build your finances for your TRV application
3. Is it possible to get a visa + plan a trip to a third country on your return trip back from Canada? This will show that you must leave Canada

And back everything with evidence..... I would worry about a leave approval letter from the military if it is issued on blank paper/unofficial stationery

Your cover letter:
1. Mention your UCI Number + TRV Refusal Letter details
2. State each refusal reason separately.... and prove you have addressed it
3. Give reference numbers for each evidence.... like I said earlier, claims and assurances won't work. Evidence is necessary

Cheers
