I am about to apply for a student Visa and my office is the one in the UK.

I do not live in the UK, but another EU country, so I will not be able to hand in my application in person. So I am going to pay the fee by bank cheque. But the clearing bank has to be in Canada according to their website and my bank, or any bank in my country, does not have a branch in Canada. I will not be able to open a bank account in Canada (since I do not have a Visa...) and therefore I am wondering, how will I be able to pay this fee? Maybe I am misunderstanding the meaning of "clearing bank"?

I am not allowed to post links for some reason but I am using the information from: [w w w.]canadainternational.gc.ca/united_kingdom-royaume_uni/visas/fees-frais.aspx

u r talking abt College tution or Visa fee?? If it is college fee simply do a wire transfer. For Visa fee details pls tell which country r u in and from where u r applying for ur visa?

Pls remember-Personal cheques are not accepted as payment. Mostly it should be demand draft.

Visit a Standard Chartered Bank nearby and discuss with them.

Normally, they collect CHC visa application fee.

Hi,

It is the visa fee I am talking about. Accoring to their webpage:
[www].canadainternational.gc.ca/united_kingdom-royaume_uni/visas/fees-frais.aspx
This office does NOT accept:
Cash sent by mail or placed in the drop box
Uncertified personal cheques
Company cheques
British pound drafts drawn on foreign banks
Canadian postal orders
Euro-cheques
Credit or debit cards
Canadian dollar drafts where the “clearing bank” is not in Canada (check with your bank if you are unsure)
Currency other than Canadian dollars or British pounds
I've been to my bank but they do not understand that condition.

hasnaat: I think this is related to your answer:
from my link above said:
In some countries, banks provide the service of forwarding your bank draft / bank cheque directly to this office. Please ensure that this is not done and that your fee accompanies your application.
