Yes you may and yes it depends on your salary.YVRBCPNP said:If I work as a cleaner at a hotel in Whistler. Can I apply B.C PNP? or depends on how much money the hotel pays to me?
Whistler is not under Metro Vancouver District. It is under Squamish-Lillooet Regional District. Hence, you are safe with your application. Meanwhile, you need to calculate your annual income based on number of hours per week. Only that way, you will be able to account for the salary range properly. Your job may require shifts (morning, afternoon or evening) and time may be different for each day.YVRBCPNP said:Yes you may and yes it depends on your salary.
this website might help you a lot.
Hey Chie042012, thank you so much for your prompt response. The website you provided is very useful. So Whistler belongs to "the rest of BC" not "Metropolitan Vancouver", right? If yes, I think the salary of 13~15$/hour is enough to meet the income threshold. Thank you so much again!!
hi there, yes it is under the category "Rest of BC". Do you have a family? First thing to do is accept the job or do you have already?YVRBCPNP said:Yes you may and yes it depends on your salary.

Hey Coshx, thank you for your information. Yes, I got the full-time job and employer promise 40 hours/week, but it should fluctuate based on the seasons. Coshx, you said "time may be different for each day". You mean my shifts have to change each day? If I did all morning or afternoon or night shifts, it would have problem, right?coshx said:Whistler is not under Metro Vancouver District. It is under Squamish-Lillooet Regional District. coshx!
It won't affect. I wasn't sure about the No. of hours per week. So far it is 40 hours per week, then you are covered. Do you have a spouse and kid (s)? Check the table for required funds well.YVRBCPNP said:Hey Coshx, thank you for your information. Hi Chie042012, nice to meet you here. You are so warm-hearted! That's awesome you are from Whistler. I do get an offer from Four Seasons. But I am still in Vancouver. Looking forward to meeting you in Whistler in the future.chie042012 said:hi there, yes it is under the category "Rest of BC". Do you have a family? Four Seasons is a great company, one of the best in Whistler. Looking forward to meet you too. From which country are you?YVRBCPNP said:Hi Chie042012, nice to meet you here. You are so warm-hearted! Really? I know it's a nice hotel but I don't know it's one of the best in Whistler. I am from China. You?chie042012 said:Four Seasons is a great company, one of the best in Whistler. Looking forward to meet you too. From which country are you?
Hey Anser0131, thank you for your information. Yes, I am an international student and I take a 2-year program in Vancouver. My major is Hospitality Management. I hope I could use the Entry Level and Semi Skilled Worker to apply BCPNP. Thanks again and have a nice day!anser0131 said:I am not sure what category would you be able to apply under BCPNP
Strategic Occupation - your job needs to be under NOC0,A or B. I believe hotel cleaner doesn't not belong to any of them.
International Graduate - do you hold a diploma/degree from Canada?
Entry Level and Semi Skilled Worker - only these occupations in the tourism and hospitality are considered(I think this is your best bet, you will also need a English Language Test though and you need 9 months of experience before you send in your application):

You don't really need a lawyer. I did it myself but it's always good to hire someone to look through your paperwork I guess.YVRBCPNP said:By the way, Is the precedure of applying BCPNP complicated? Can I apply it by myself or have to ask some immigration consultant to help?
