I have a question regarding my visa, I am an international student. I study in the USA currently,I was living in Canada a year ago as a student with a student visa and permit, I still have my visa and the study permit and I would like to go to Canada as a visitor near future I wanted to know if I could go visit with the same visa or if I needed to get a new one or new record.

Thanks :)

What do you mean by Student Visa?

Canada gives Study Permit. It is stated in that permit that it doesn't allow entrance.

If you are from a country where a VISA is requiered to enter Canada then you would need a Temporary Resident Visa. This allows you to enter Canada.

If your TRV is still valid you can use it.

Ah, the sticker says you are a student, but that doesn't mean it is a student visa, it is still a TRV.

This is a common scenario for all of the people which study/work and travel from a visa-needed country: TRV + Study/Work Permit.

Yes, as long as your TRV is valid you can still use that one. ;D
