Holding a Work Permit. But how to change VISA category? from V-1 to W-1

I really need your help!

I am holding a work permit and a visitor visa (V-1). They have the same expiration date.
I plan to leave Canada to another country for a short time.

The problem is:
When I tried to apply for a W-1 Visa, CIC does not accept because I already have a Temporary Resident Visa (V-1).

What is my solution here? How can I get a W-1 Visa to reenter Canada?

You don't need one, as long as your V-1 is valid, you can return.
