Hello, I was diagnosed with HIV during my medicals so a tb test, hep c and b test were done too which all came out negative, the panel physician told me to go get my viral load and cd4 count with medications and the report from a specialist so I went to do that after 7 days. My viral load was 128(suppressed), my cd4 count was 621 which is still good and I was placed on a 3 drug regimen(tenofovir/lamivudine/dolutegravir). I submitted the report through a mail to the panel physician and it was submitted a day after to ircc. Going to 2 months now and my medical examination is still under review. Please what can I do and who knows how long it takes as I’m supposed to resume by January 7

Unfortunately it's hard to say how long it will take since your application is non-standard due to your medical issues. There is nothing you can do but wait. If you don't have a decision in time, then you will need to defer your studies to the next semester.

Hello Viasta,

What you can do is make plans to defer your admission. Your application will not be rushed to be finalized. When did you submit your application and from where did you apply?

I applied July 11 and went for my medicals October 18. IRCC actually sent me a mail on September 29 to go for my medicals, I didn’t book upfront. Plus my panel physician confirmed submitting my medicals on October 27

Hi viasta. I am also applying to study in Canada as well. I have done all my health assessment and have also source the results into a profile but have not yet apply. Some other members said about getting admission from a top university will help you get the visa. May I ask what school and degree did you apply to?

cambrian college in Ontario. It’s a postgraduate certificate, My medical exam is still in review for almost 2 months now

Good college and the city is actually not bad, assuming youre going to be in Sudbury.
