Hiring a in home nanny already in Canada vs hiring an overseas one

I have hired an in home care nanny who is already in Canada.
My friend also wants to hire a in home care nanny, but the one she likes is overseas now.

What should she pay attention in terms of posting ads, interviewing, and applying to LMIA, comparing to hiring one who is already in Canada?

Haven't you already done the LMIA process? I thought that it was the same regardless of where the potential employee is. It's dependant on the current status of that person, not where they are.

I did LMIA for my own nanny, but at that time, she's already in Canada. My friend is hiring an nanny not in Canada, and at current time, I think it will be harder than hiring one already in Canada. So I wonder anything my friend should be pay attention.

Yes probably. Not only will they have to do the full LMIA process but the potential employee will need to apply for any required visas. Even with an approved LMIA, the visa could be refused. Your friend needs to make sure that they are fully aware of the immigration requirements.
