Hiring a consultant

I am thinking of using immigration consulting service for my PR app My question is that is there anything i cannot do and need to have the help of immigration consultant. For example, the list of required documents under FSW in CIC is pretty straightfoward. I am single studying in Canada and working on a post graduate work permit. I have pretty much all the required documents from IELTS certificate, degree stuydinng in canada, police certificates... I just dont see no points of paying 3000 dollars fees to have some one else tell me something i already no.

Have anyone hired an immigration consultant before ? What was your impression ? And should i hire an immigration consultaint service ?

It is entirely possible and quite easy to do it yourself. A consultant would be useful if you had a complex application, or were busy with work and family and couldn't spend the time to learn the process properly, or perhaps there were language barriers, things like that.

In your case, I'd say you don't need one. Your application is pretty simple, and you appear to have done your research.

I did it myself, and so have many other people on this forum.
