Well you need to spend the required time in Canada (there is a number of days specified), and then apply to canadian citizenship, and when you become canadian, it's then when you can get the canadian passport.

After having migrated to Canada, you may consider converting your Canadian Permanent Residency status into Citizenship. You are eligible for citizenship if:
You are 18 years of age or older;
You are a permanent resident of Canada;
You have lived in Canada for at least three of the four years before applying;
You are able to communicate in either English or French;
You have basic knowledge about life in Canada; and
You have an adequate knowledge about the rights and responsibilities of citizenship.
A child under 18 years of age can be joined to the family citizenship application.
All applicants between the ages of 18 and 54 must pass a citizenship test. The test includes questions about:
the right to vote in elections in Canada;
the right to run for elected office;
voting procedures in Canada and how to register yourself as a voter;
Canada's main historical and geographical features;
the rights and responsibilities of a citizen;
the structure of Canadian government; and Confederation.
Hope this help.
