High blood pressure

I have searched for, and read, all of the previous threads on high blood pressure. But looking for some advice on the timing of my medical.

I have until the middle of February to complete my PR application. My main worry is my blood pressure. I have bought a home testing machine and my blood pressure is 121/96. So my diastolic pressure is too high (probably because of diet recently).

I'm guessing this could cause me problems at the medical. But my real question is...if I presented with this blood pressure at the medical, and CIC required further checks, do these further checks also have to be completed within the original 60 days? Or would I get an extension for this?

I'm trying to decide whether to do my medical ASAP or wait a few weeks and try to get my diastolic value to 90 (which is still over 120/80 but is not classed as high blood pressure in the UK).

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks

I don't think that is a very high blood pressure. From what I've read on this thread, BP is not a problematic issue. As long as CIC don't consider you a burden on their healthcare, there is no reason to worry

You are unnecessarily worrying in my opinion. BP is not considered to be a problematic issue since it can be controlled through medication. My suggestion would be to start you App at the earliest. Good luck.

They primarily look only for HIV, Tuberculosis, Syphilis and Blood/Protein/Glucose in Urine. Even if you have these you may be referred for treatment and/or another medical to check if you are clear.

Just chill, go for your medical, be truthful in your replies. Good Luck !
