The most important thing is not to do nothing. If you fail to respond, CIC can interpret that as abandoning your application.

If you do not think you will receive your renewed passport in time to satisfy the request, then you should contact your visa office with a letter explaining the delay, giving a reason (the renewal -- I presume it would have expired soon otherwise?) and an approximate timeframe on when you do expect to submit your passport.

By chance I get PPR and if I don't have Passport in my hand as its sent for renewal
Will NDVO cancel my pr application.....

well l don't know how things go in your country even right here in my country there is a way for you to pay for express processing of passport, you need to find out from your passport office if there is something they can do to help you speed up your passport processing for you to get the passport and respond back to CIC before it will be too late, it's better to do anything within your reach to make sure your passport is ready, you can print out the letter you receive from CIC and show it to them at the passport office and l know and believe that God will have mercy on you for them to do it for you as soon as possible so that you can meet up with CIC, God bless.
