yes they very smart they do keep, records which they think are important and can help in future.. it helps them for future cases when you claim something about past they will check in their records to make sure everything and they can catch people through these checking if anybody is involve in presenting fraudulent documents which make huge trouble for them.. so i will strongly advise you to be honest, things will be straight mismatch in statements or records can cause troubles.(fraud cases are not appealable)
