I am assuming they messed up. It's making me very upset that my husband and I paid 75 dollars for this visitor extension. This is the 4th one we've made because I have been on Probation for over 10 months and I Just got off this month. Two weeks ago they asked me to send over the papers proving I was on probation so I did so instead of giving me "March the 31st" as an expiry, they give me the 28th of this month which is only in 8 days. I do not have a place to live in the states, no money, we're so broke right now until two weeks away, and he's already taken out loans for the apartment since we're trying to move, it's still expensive to live here.

We're trying to make ends meet right now. I'm wondering why they would cut it so short? I told them my probation would be over in march, so I set the expiry date then but my probation officer told me by the end of my probation that it ends on feb the 2nd, no one notified me of this until it was too late and I asked her and she never got back to me about it, she never even put me into forensics therapy for my PTSD, they slacked off repeatedly and now I'm so screwed. We can't afford the permanent residency application for him to sponsor me, either. I've lived here through visitor extensions for almost two years. Since June of 2012.

Does anyone know if CIC might help me fix this, because they tell me they're just a call center.

I also forgot to mention, I just went on my online application and it says "Application Status: Canceled" What in the world??? Why would it be canceled if they sent me a paper in the mail with my client ID number and the date when I have to leave? I'm confused..please help! :(

I suspect your extension has been cut short because you have been living in Canada so long as a visitor without leaving and CIC now wants you to leave (especially now that your probation has been completed). I'm not sure there's anything you're going to be able to do to stay. Visitors are not supposed to live in Canada - they are only supposed to visit short term. It's really too bad that you and your husband didn't submit a sponsorship application a long time ago. I would say that you could try submitting an inland application now - however it doesn't sound like you have the money to pay for this application and then there's the matter of the probation (which may mean you're inadmissible to Canada).

Your situation is complicated and the CIC call centre is certainly not going to be able to advise you what to do. For these types of situations, you really should be hiring a good immigration lawyer to assist you. Since money is tight, you could try a free legal community clinic to see if they can offer any help. These free resources likely won't be immigration specialists - but you can certainly give them a try.

I am not inadmissible, it was a discharge with conditions, I've looked this up already. Do you think I can leave then try to come back in, letting them know I want to be a visitor one last time, then try to be a permanent resident or work?

Good news you're not inadmissible.

It's impossible for any of us to say if you will be allowed back into Canada. You've been living here for so long that immigration could refuse you entry and tell you to re-establish ties in the US before trying to visit Canada again. Or they might let you back in no problem. Again, unfortunately it's impossible to say. What happens is up to the individual immigration officer you encounter when you try to re-enter Canada.

I don't think that is a fair system. I had every woman guard treat me like a criminal but every guy guard treated me like I was a good person and allowed me in, and the women grilled me for 2 hours for no reason

The challenge that you face is that you've been living so long in Canada as a visitor - which you're really not supposed to do. So I think you should be prepared for the possibility that you may run into issues re-entering Canada. But again, it's impossible to say what will happen. It could turn out to be very easy. Ideally when someone enters Canada as a visitor they should be able to prove that they are a genuine visitor and have ties to their home country such as a job or property they own or rent - and that they also have enough money in their bank account to pay for their visit.
