Dear all,

I need a informations. please seeking your adivse/information. (1) After issuing my PR card, if i dont stay total 2 years and before expiry if i land Canada, how much time i have to stay for renewal? (2) before filing renewal application, have i to stay 730 days full? or the days i have already stayed there would be minus from 730 days? (3) If I do not land before expiry of my PR, can i apply for renewal from my country? At all can i apply for renewal?

You can't apply for renewal from your country. You can only apply from inside Canada.

When you apply for renewal, you must have lived in Canada for two years out of the last five years on the day you submit your application. These days do not have to be consecutive.

Are you from a non-visa exempt country? If you are and you don't return to Canada before the expiry of your PR card, then you will need to apply for a travel document to return to Canada. If you have not met residency requirements, then this significantly reduces the chances that a travel document will be approved. If the travel document is refused and you cannot return to Canada (and therefore cannot renew your PR status) - then your PR will be lost.

Thanks very much Scylla. I am glad to have answer of question No. 3. But, can you clarify more on first and second question?

I have answered your questions. I cannot provide you with specific answers to #1 and #2. You will have to calculate the number of days yourself.

(1) Again, when you apply to renew your PR card, you must have lived in Canada for two years out of the last five on the day you apply. I don't know how much time you'll have to stay in Canada after you land. You will have to calculate this yourself using the five year rule.

(2) Same answer as above. You will have to calculate the number of days yourself based on how long you have lived in Canada.
