My original message posted on 13 Sept 2013 @ 5:54:09 Titled "PR Card Renewal".

Latest development:

I have just a Letter for an interview for determination of Permanent Resident Status. The interview is set for 7 Oct 2013.

I would really appreciate any insights/personal experiences as to what to expect with this type of interview.

I am trying to look at this positively because all this while I was thinking it might be an outright rejection.

Regards

I saw your original message. I honestly do not know what will happen. I have not heard too many stories of such interviews. I have heard of some where people who met the residency obligation were not believed and simply told that their PR card would not be renewed. I have heard of one where the person had admitted that they didn't meet the residency obligation and they were invited to withdraw their renewal application on the spot. Many who realize that they made a mistake by applying early withdraw their application last minute and get away with it. I simply do not know if they would revoke your PR on the spot if it is clear that you did not meet the RO and you have no H&C grounds.

Did you have H&C grounds for not meeting the RO? If yes, then which ones? If no, then why did you apply to renew with only 400 days?
