You have to provide them documents to show you ties outside Canada so you'll leave the country after your trip. (job, house, etc...)

We'd need more information to offer advice.

If you are a resident in Japan, what is your nationality?

What was the reason Canada gave for refusing the visa?

How long did you plan to stay in Canada (as stated in your visa application)?

Let's look at your case from a Visa Officer's (VO's) point of view.

Your fiance seems to be an illegal in Canada now -- if his PR status has expired and his passport has expired, as you say. So no, he could not effectively sponsor you for a visit to Canada.

Even if one of his relatives were to sponsor you, the VO will want proof that you will return to Japan at the end of your visit to Canada. What ties to Japan do you have? The VO will consider that you come from the Philippines, but ties to that country must be weak since you are residing in Japan.

So, your ties to Japan need to appear very strong. Otherwise, the VO will suspect that you would stay illegally in Canada with your fiance if you got a visitor's visa.

Homiko:

Your inbox is full. You need to go to inbox at the top of the page, and clear it out.

I wanted to say to you:

Good luck, Homiko.

It is frustrating to have to ask bureaucrats for something as simple as visiting your fiance.

But that is the world we live in.

Since your inbox is full, I cannot reply to your personal email. So I'll do it here.

When you enter www.Canadavisa.com. click on the home tab (top right of the page). Then click on Inbox. There you will see the messages that people have sent to you personally. You should read them, answer them (if necessary) and delete them. Then, once your inbox is clear, others (like me) may reply to your personal emails, and not use up space in this public forum.

Cheers
