hi everyone,

im a newbie here and need your help guys, :)

im currently employed in an agency here in the philippines.
i received an invitation letter from my aunt who is a canadian citizen to visit in canada, it is a letter of financial support with signatures from my uncles and other aunts who are also canadian citizens, they will take responsibilities for all of my expenses while staying there. I already have a bank statement account, certificate of employment and other necessary documents such as passport, etc..

Is it enough to convince the visa officer to grant me a visa?.. Does purchasing a return trip ticket helps?

Hope to hear from you guys..Thank you! in advance.. I really appreciate your responses..Have a nice day!

You need to attach a certificate of employment and approved leave of absence. Note the the Philippines has a different application kit.

Having a round trip air fare ticket does not really help. I can't find the post of one member who purchased air fare for the girl friend but the girl friend's app was denied.

A roundtrip ticket does not help. We applied for a TRV for my husband and were denied... we had a copy of the return ticket in the application.

Thank you for the response job_seeker and rugbyflash..I really have trouble finding ways to make my purpose convincing..I can provide the approved leave of absence but im still confused with my bank account because i only have 2,000 Canadian Dollars and my friend told me to have at least 4000 Canadian Dollars, does it really affects?

Hope to have your responses..thanks again..

You must be in a position to make the trip even when your aunt and other relatives had given you their affidavit of support/undertaking. There are no foolproof ways of obtaining a TRV; show enough proof of "ties", enough reason for you to want to go back to.

I would like to ask if a scheduled civil wedding a convincing reason for a visa officer to grant a TRV?
