Hi all

Just a quick question,

I am filling out the form for sponsorship, and asks for co signer, and then states that my spouse has to be the co signer, so i said yes at that part, but then when asking me for his info states options for him to be canadian permindent resident or etc, but he is still in mexico,

Should i just not put co signer then?

If you are sponsoring him, he is not your co-signer. A co-signer is another Canadian citizen that is helping to sponsor him. Leave the cosigner area blank.

Thanks, I have to bring some of these forms when we get married in Mexico in May, for him to sign and fill out, I guess having a co signer helps right, going to ask my family

Sorry I think I misinformed you. The cosigner can only be your spouse or common law partner. But since your spouse is the one being sponsored he cannot be the cosigner.
