Hi all,

I would like to know that previously, i went to Canada as a visitor (on TRV) and on that TRV application i had ever submitted a invitation letter from my relative from Canada and now i decided to apply Study permit to study at Canada, so will it arise any problem in applying study permit even though that my wife will not follow me to Canada and if this round the visa officer question me that do i have any relative at Canada, what should i answer then ??

Beside that, i will fully sponsored myself and my wife will be my sponsor during my study period (actually the primary sponsor still will be me, to fullfill the criteria that needed by CHC to ensure there fund available even while i'm studying). So, what i understand that my wife need to write a letter of sponsorship, but i'm confuse what is the different between letter of sponsorship and affidavit of financial support?

As my fund is more than my wife, how can i make a clear picture to the officer that i'm the primary sponsor rather than my wife role in where just to satisfy the visa officer that someone else will be assisting me for the duration of my academic program?

Anyone a sample of cover letter and study plan? Can eplease send it to my email as i urgently need one. My email: hotmail_90000@yahoo.com

Many thanks for your advice and helps to everyone!!

Hi,

1. Your visit on TRV has nothing to do with your eligibility for study permit application.
2. Visa officer won't ask you about 'any relative', however, on a study permit application you have to mention if parents, brother or sister lives in Canada. Again, if your profile (academic standing/grades + study plan in Canada) is strong, you do NOT need to worry about such facts.
3. You do NOT need sponsorship letter from Parents/spouse. All you need, first year tuition + CAD 10,000 as living expenses (it would be better if you can show little bit more). If you are from India, you should apply for a certified bank loan + first term tuition fee paid receipt.
4. It's USELESS to submit cover letter/study plan with your visa application.
