Hello,
I dont know if someone has asked this, but I couldnt find anything regarding on this topic or similar.
Here is the deal:
I had an interview with a canadian employers last year, everything was great and the guy really liked me, but he has never hire a foreign before so he told me to start to work on my paperwork. I few months ago the guy called me and asked me if I could be available for 2 weeks, I explained to him that it doesnt work like that and that he needs to get the LMIA before I could apply for a work permit. Since the guy saw how interested I am on the job (I went to Toronto two time to talk to the guy, with my own money) he told me he would hire me with the condition I send him the information on what he needs to do and he will do it. We already did the job posting (it been two months) but he didnt want it to post it on jobbank because he has to give too much personal information (which I think is the reason it will be refuse, but hey maybe i get lucky again)
My questions are:
1-has somebody do the same thing, do his/her own paperwork along with the employer for the LMIA, is there a place I can find some kind of idiot proof information of what to do? For what I investigated you just need to post the job offer (create a list of candidate who applied, why its the refusal, how many candidates you interviewed, etc) and then proceed to fill the forms. It seems simple but i've read on how difficult is to get the LMIA and how the make the refusal for small details (so it cant be that simple!) and i would like to avoid that.
2-And the other thing is where I can find a list of which webpages are the correct ones for job advertisement (I just learned kijiji is a no go)
