My question is i am accepted to be my husbands sponser already I came back home from his country to be with my kids from a previous relationship I am pregnant and due in a few days and obviosly cant do lot to fiancially take care of us all alone with 3 kids and a baby on the way untll my husband is here am i allowed to apply for assistance untill his arival?

If CIC and the visa office processing your husband's file finds out you are on welfare, the application will be rejected. If you are from a country where applications are processed quickly, try to stay off assistance for just a little longer. If it's a long wait, though, you may have no choice. Question.. are you planning to go on Mat Leave, EI (if yes then, they dont count as welfare)

Any other form of help.. it is welfare... and your application will get rejected..
