Hi Guys,

I need some advice on what to do.

My wife's application for extension of her OWP was rejected. The rejection letter stated that:

"After considering all the circumstances of your case, it has been determined that you are not a person whose employment will create or maintain significant employment, benefits or opportunities for Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
You have not provided sufficient evidence to prove that your spouse is employed in an occupation that falls within the National Occupation Classification Skill level of 0, A or B. You may be eligible to re-apply for a work permit if you are able to provide proof that your spouse is a skilled worker in Canada, which may include a letter from your spouse's employer, stating his/her job title, duties, and salary. If you cannot prove that your spouse is in a skilled occupation, your application for a work permit cannot be approved without a Labour Market Impact Assessment from Employment and Social Development Canada.
"

I am currently employed as an administrative assistant. My employment started in September. In support of her application, we had provided a copy of my offer of employment, and my first pay slip which was till 5th September.

My wife also has a TRV which is valid till 30th November 2014 though her work permit has expired. I have a PGWP which is valid till July, 2016. I have also received a PNP certificate supporting my application for Permanent Residence under the Masters Graduate program. My wife is listed as a dependant on the certificate. We are planning to send in our PR application next week. However, we plan to submit the police clearance certificates later as it will take a long time to obtain them since we have lived in 3/4 countries.

Please advise as to how we can get the OWP for my wife. I have spoken to my employer who will give me a letter confirming that I work there, the salary and a general description of my duties. I plan to reapply for the OWP for my wife with the letter from my employer confirming that I work there, my wage, my duties and a recent pay-slip.

Is there anything else that I need to submit to prove my employment? Please advise as I don't want the OWP to get rejected again.
