In general, CIC considers IELTS 4 to be the minimum English language requirement for employment in Canada and therefore for “membership in the economic class.” (International English Language Testing System)
However, many skilled occupations in Manitoba require IELTS levels of 5 or higher.
The MPNP gives priority assessment to eligible applicants who have existing employment in Manitoba and/or demonstrate that they have English proficiency demonstrated by IELTS 5 or higher.
If you score less than IELTS 4 overall or on even one part of IELTS it is extremely unlikely that your nomination will be approved.
