HELP - Working visa to expire on AUG - currently waiting for PPR

Hi.

Currently working here in Calgary and my working visa will expire mid August. We have filed for PR under AINP stream and currently waiting for our PPR. Is it possible to ask VO the status of PR VISA - just to know if I need to apply for a new working visa or I can just wait for the PR Visa?

Working visa is expensive and thus would want to avoid getting new one if possible. Thank you. Any tip/suggestion will be really helpful.

You need to keep your "work status" VALID while waiting for your PR results..

you DO NOT need an LMO to apply for your work permit, you can renew your work permit online $150 or using paper base mail application (check website of Canada at cic.gc.ca), you will need, (scan them 1,2,3..)

1. copy of your current work permit
2. Work Permit Support Letter ( you will have to request your program advisor from the province who had nominated you through email or fax him, check your nomination certificate for contact info)
3. Job offer/ contract of employment from your current employer, it should be valid (same employer according to your current work permit)
4. credit card (if you are paying online)

you have to submit them BEFORE the day exactly your work permit will expire or else you will be Out of Status by then" and you will need to apply for a Restoration which is $200

once you email your program advisor from PNP province that nominated you it will just take them a day or two to respond so take care of this immediately...

when you submitted your renewal of work permit, then you are safe as long as waiting for PR results..
