Hi everyone, i want some help from you please!
My wife and I sent the outland application at the beginning of march 2015, I currently living as visitor in canada with my wife, she is canadian citizen and I am mexican. I entered in canada in september 2014 and later got my visitor visa extension till march 2016. So, as the time pass I was reading in some fourum and after the questions start in my mind.
1. Can I apply for a work permit while my application is on process?
2. Is easiest if i have a Job offer? apply the LMIA?
3. Since the NAFTA apply for being mexican, what adventages do I have?
and the last one, that is the one that is making me think a lot....
4. Once the whole sponsorship application is autorized and i get my PR, is supposed that i can work or study without any problem or need of permit??
This is because i found out in the CIC website that states:
The following types of workers are exempt from a LMIA, but need a work permit:
Spouses
This group can include:
spouses and common-law partners of certain foreign students who study full time;
spouses and common-law partners of certain skilled foreign workers; and
spouses and common-law partners who are in Canada and have been sponsored through the Family Class by a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and have applied for permanent residence.
Thanks a lot in advance!!!
