Hello, I'm writing about the work in Canada visa & I have some questions, I'll try to narrate my situation as much as possible.
Ok so, my family members are Canadian citizens (my aunt, uncle & cousins), and their family friend is willing to give me a job in Canada for less than 6 months. The job is to be a helper worker, my employer said I would be helping out with kitchen/room furniture installation, you know like helping them unload tiles from the car, helping them with moving the fridge and stuff like that, basically his team needs a helping hand in moving stuff around. I would be living with my family members (like I said, they are Canadian, I am not).

I know that I need to apply for a work visa prior to coming to Canada & I've looked around and found that there's various work permits & I don't understand under what permit should I apply?

If anyone would be kind enough to explain the steps that I need to take?

Before you can apply for a work permit, your employer in Canada will first have to get an approved LMIA. An approved LMIA gives the employer permission to hire a foreign worker. To get an approved LMIA, the employer will first have to advertise the job to prove no Canadian could be found for the role. The employer will then have to pay a $1K fee and submit the LMIA paperwork for processing. The processing time for an LMIA can be anywhere from 6 to 16+ weeks.

I think it's unlikely it will be possible to get an LMIA approved for a job that is less than six months in length.
