Hello,

I am looking for help on finding the right NOC code to match my job, so I can apply for the PNP. I have found a close match in terms of job duties but not the job title. My job tittle is Deposit Monitoring Officer and the possible match is 6314 Customer and information services supervisors. Would the title difference be a problem, below are the two job descriptions:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This role will be responsible for the completion of pre-clearing image capture activities including:
• Dollar amount keying of cheques, PTB envelopes and other payment items
• Verification and data entry of magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) lines on cheques and other payment items
• Review and verification of payment items received through non-client facing channels to ensure appropriate negotiation validations are completed.
• Ensures all processing is completed within established time frames and end of day cut off times across multiple time zones in Canada are met to avoid financial loss and negative client impact.
• Responsible for the delivery of high quality service to clients and service partners, including high levels of accuracy and adherence to agreed upon service levels and timeframes.
• Ensure full compliance to all controls, both regulatory and internal, including internal policies and processes and the Canadian Payments Association (CPA) clearing rules.
• Adopts a continuous improvement mindset by proactively identifying and recommending solutions to recurring errors, service gaps and process efficiency and effectiveness enhancements.
• Exercises due diligence in following operational risk policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
• Recommend action plans for gaps identified in review process
• Mitigation of operational, financial and reputational risk

This is NOC 6314 duties are:
Main duties

Supervisors in this unit group perform some or all of the following duties:
Co-ordinate, assign and review the work of clerks engaged in the following duties: providing information and customer service; and serving customers in banks, trust companies and other financial institutions

Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports
Identify training needs and train workers in job duties and company policies
Requisition supplies and materials
Ensure smooth operation of computer systems and equipment and arrange for maintenance and repair work
May perform the same duties as workers supervised.

So the primary responsibilities list are your current role which has no supervisor responsibilities so no match that i can see due to no mention of supervising any staff which the prime function 6314 The responsibilities list reads as though someone in 6314 is supervising someone performing your role.

True, but other than the first point in 6314 I do almost all the other points in the job description. In this case would be still able to use as my NOC code?
