My fiance and I are currently filling in all the paperwork to get our application on the road. We are both Currently in Australia and she moves back to Canada tomorrow, so would like as much paperwork done now - especially the forms we both have to sign.
A couple of questions have come up, just want to get them right so we don't delay the process more than needed.
- Form IM0008 - On Education it asks for "how many years of education in total" next to the highest level of qualification. My highest qualification was a 2 year diploma. So do I put 2 or do I need to include my high school years in that number as well?
-Additional Dependants form, we have none, so do we not need to send this form back?
- IMM406 Additional Family information. We both need to fill this one in. My fiance who is going to sponsor me, do we put her name in the "applicant" field and my name in the common law partner field? And do we do the same thing on both forms?
- IMM5409 Statutory Declaration. This needs to be signed by commissioner of oaths, can i sign that here in australia, and then Karen takes it back to Canada, signs it herself and gets commissioner of oaths to sign it there too? or would we be best to get an australian justice of the peace to sign it?
