Help with B4 - do we include items that are already in Canada?

Hubby has been staying with me as a visitor for a year. During this time he's brought over most of his personal items (clothes, books, dvds, electronics, etc.) little by little. He is landing tomorrow and we're trying to fill out the B4 form. Does he include the things that are already here?? Because otherwise the ONLY thing he'll have on there that he is physically landing with is a piece of electronic equipment that we're picking up tomorrow from a storage unit right across the border before turning around and coming back to land.

I figure it will look pretty odd if that's all that's listed on the form, and the rest of his belongings are "to follow" (he still has stuff stored at his mom's in the US to bring here).

So my question is:

Do we list items already in Canada on the B4 form, or only the item(s) he has with him at the time of landing?

Thanks :D

EDIT: I have just realized there is a "Settlement" category on this forum... my creature-of-habit self auto posted here without even thinking. lol

I will post there instead. Sorry!

I'm useless to answer your question, but I also would like to know. I gave away most of my household items to friends and family. I only brought a few bags to Canada! My dad got annoyed and mailed me items later........ :D

So I'm going to hang out like a troll and see what the experts say.

No need to include things that are already in Canada (especially if it's normal items. If it was something very expensive/very special, you may want to include it just in case at some point you were asked about taxes). Just list things that he will be importing from this point onwards.
Good luck,
Sweden

Thanks Sweden! I'm mostly just worried about it looking weird because the agents at our border crossing love to give us a hard time... I want everything to go smoothly!

For visa-exempt it's fairly normal, it was the same for me... I didn't have anything. I came to Canada as a visitor, and brought with me 2 suitcases, and had a few things sent over together with my partner's stuff, which was all under "returning Canadian". So by the time I got my PR and went to "land" at a border, I had nothing. Flagpoling without anything to import is not an issue.

The IO probably prefers no items. Makes the whole process easier/faster........

Hopefully. There's an exception to everything. :p
