Help with applying for MSP - My spouse is a citizen

I'm looking for some guidance on applying for MSP in B.C. I recently got my open work permit and am in the process of applying for MSP online. It mentions that to qualify for MSP with an open work permit, my spouse or common-law partner needs to be a resident. However, when I get to the section for their information and documents, there doesn't seem to be an option to skip enrolling them for MSP. My spouse doesn’t need MSP, only I do.

I’m confused about why they need details about when he arrived in Canada and B.C., and whether he’s been outside of B.C. for over 30 days in the past year. I get that they need his name and proof of residency or citizenship, but is there any way to avoid all this? Will I be re-enrolling him with MSP if I give them this information? Any help would be appreciated!
