Hello everyone,

I have a very specific question that I would like your help with.
I am applying for FSW as principal applicant, however my common-law partner is a physician (ophthalmologist) and will go with me to Canada. She intent to work as a Specialist physician ophthalmologist there in Canada. I know she will need to successfully pass the Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination (MCCEE), do some more residency and etc... However my question is: for the initial application on FSW, do I need to explain we are aware she will need to go through all these processes?
I am asking that because there is a question on the "Generic Application form for CAnada" under Educational / Occupation Detail asking "Intended Occupation" in Canada, and we are answering "Specialist physician ophthalmologist".

Does anyone could help to clarify if I need to show something else in the initial application even though she is not the principal applicant and it seems at this point not much is required from the dependents?

Thanks a lot!

Nope, you are fine.

It sounds like your partner could also be a principal applicant. Just a thought.
Thank you!
I was thinking about putting a an additional sheet on the "Generic Application form for CAnada" on her "Intended Occupation" field saying: "Specialist physician - after successfully pass the Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination (MCCEE) and requirements"
Just in case!
Do you think that would be bad somehow?

Actually, I am the principal applicant for some reasons: for the moment my english is better than hers and I could score higher in IELTS. Also I have longer time of work experience which also would score more. and the process to certify a regulated profession would take longer...

Thanks again!

There isn't any need to mention it, so don't. Don't make your application unnecessarily complex.
