Help! What is Proof of Landing

I hope somebody can clarify for me. I was about to be hired but the employer wants "proof of landing". I don't know what that is.

I came to Canada with a study permit and recently finished my program and granted 3-year PGWP. I am not a PR. I gave the copy of the work permit together with SIN. I also gave them a copy of study permit. What am I missing as "proof of landing"?

You are not a PR, therefor you do not have "proof of landing" because that's what they give you when you become a "landed immigrant" (the old term for permanent resident). Your employer should not need this as you have a PGWP (open work permit) that is sufficient.

Thanks! I was telling exactly what you said but they were still insisting the "proof" of "landing"???. I think this HR person needs to be better educated....

hahaha... yeah but don't say it out loud. If they continue to insist, give them a copy of the information from CIC's website about the post graduation work permit which clearly shows that you can work.
