Help wanted from Seniors.. VISA ISSUED BUT CANNOT GO...

SALAM TO All

I got admission for MSc Internetworking in UOA for fall 2010.
applied for visa on july 20th.
got 18 months multiple entry visa on 20th of august..

my question is

due to so family problems i cannnot proceed this fall to canada. and neither can deffer to next term.

if i do apply for the same programm next year and get admitted will i have to reapply for the visa. or can use the current issued visa as it will still be valid for next 8 months after next september.


plz guide.. :-[

Hi, sorry to hear about what happened. I was in a similar situation so I asked the visa officer here in Manila about such cases (being granted a visa but not being able to leave). She said if you're not using your visa, you'll have to let the embassy know so they could cancel it. Call your visa centre for specific steps. You will have to reapply for another one.cancellation will not affect or have a bearing on re application. Hope this helps!

I just talked with my friend and he said that if Embassy grants us Visa than we have to go to Canada within first 6 months, if not then our visa will be cancelled...

So i think you can go in next sem withour reapplying for Visa, all you need to is just get a new letter of acceptance for jan 2011 from your college
