Hope someone could help in my case. Looked through different posts here and couldn't find the same one.
After graduating from a 2 year college program in Canada, I was eligible for 3 years PGWP but got it only for 1year untill March 2015- the same month my old passport would expire. I have already renewed my passport and applied for a new PGWP (some people I know had the same issue and their Permits were granted for extended periods). It has been 3,5 month I've been waiting for an answer. When contacted by phone, CIC said they transferred my application to Toronto (Etobicoke) office which has no approximate processing times and could not be reached in any way other than post. I have a confirmation letter of application receipt from CIC however I can no longer see my application in MyCIC. I was told by different lawyers that there should be a positive answer but I just want to know what to do if they refuse to issue my PGWP for an extended period.
I have applied for BC PNP in the end of November 2014 and current processing time is up to 13th months. Basically I will have no WP after March 2015 and I don't know what to do.
Will i be able to avail of an implied status?
Is there another way to get a work permit so I can work until decision is made on my BCPNP? Flagpole?
If my request to extend PGWP is declined, can I apply for restoration of work permit?
