Hello Everyone,

I'm so glad I found this forum. I find myself in trouble trying to fill my "Scary" LMO Application, I'm trying to determine what my NOC code is and if it's good for what I'm trying to do, here's a brief story:

  • I came to Canada with a Student Permit.
  • I graduated with a 1 year course. (it was too expensive as an International Student)
  • I got my PGWP for 1 year, decided to move to TO and exploit my skills.
  • Found a job almost instantly.
  • I was good and they want me there for a longer time.
  • My boss is applying for LMO to extend my work permit, which expires on August 31.

Is this all even possible?

I'm currently working with a company that produces Photography and Videography services and other multimedia, for Real Estate agents and boards. (others things too).

I know Photography and DSLR's, Film, Graphic Design, Animation, Computers and such, I don't have just ONE specific responsibility, that's precisely why I'm there hahaha. So I'm trying to figure my NOC so that we can complete the application. My boss is doing it herself, she's so kind.

Is there someone that could review it or orientate me or tell me if I'm doing the right thing?

Thank you all, I will really appreciate it, I love Canada, their people and kindness and it would mean a lot to me if I could stay.

Hey
Since you've mentioned you are a photographer I assume you a have a degree or a diploma in photography.
The NOC (National Occupation Classification) for you would be 522.

522 Photographers, graphic arts technicians and technical and co-ordinating occupations in motion pictures, broadcasting and the performing arts

5221 Photographers
5222 Film and video camera operators
5223 Graphic arts technicians
5224 Broadcast technicians
5225 Audio and video recording technicians
5226 Other technical and co-ordinating occupations in motion pictures, broadcasting and the performing arts
5227 Support occupations in motion pictures, broadcasting, photography and the performing arts
Hope this helps.
All the best!
