Help: Should I wait to apply for citizenship now?

I understand it might been asked many times before. I thank you for your assistance.

Basically, I've been a Visa student here since 2003 and got my PR in Oct 2008. I've been working full time with a major bank since 2006 and I have my house here in Canada.
I've just accumulated enough basic residence. But, due to my passion for traveling, I got out of the Canada for vacation whenever I could. If I do not leave Canada at all from now on, I wont be able to apply for Citizenship till August 2011.

I understand Aug 2011 is not that far away, but it is hard for me to resist traveling in between. I want to get (or at least apply) my citzenship as soon as possible because I might go overseas for my MBA in 2012 or 2013.

Should I apply now? As far as I am concerned, my factual residency in Canada should be easy to prove. But which route is quicker?
1) apply now and go through the review by citizenship judge?
2) wait till aug 2011 or even end of 2011, then apply through regular route?

Thank you very much for your help!

Don't apply without enough days! You would probably add a year to the processing waiting for a hearing (depending on the office) and then if the judge takes the strictly physical residency, you are back to the beginning.

Its also depends whats more important to you, travelling or getting Canadian citizenship. Keep in mind it could take over 1.5 years before you actually get the citizenship. In the meantime you'll have to write a test and also go for oath
