Hello,
My spouse's PR was approved and he received his PPR letter this morning. In the letter he's been given two options to submit his passport: VAC or Visa Office.
Do you have any recommendations on what to do? I find it strange that they're giving two options, we're unsure which one is quicker/easier. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Here's a copy paste of what the document states:
STEP 4: SUBMIT YOUR DOCUMENTS
All required documents mentioned in STEP 3 must be submitted at the same time to a Visa Application Centre by mail or in person, or mailed directly to our office.
To find out where to send your passport, visit our website www.cic.gc.ca/submit and select your country of residence from the drop down menu.
- If you decide to send your documents through a Visa Application Centre, make sure to also include:
- The visa application center (VAC) fees (VACs charge service fees to send your passport(s) and documents to the visa office)
- Your contact information, including your e-mail, phone number and return address
- The VAC consent forms (available on their website).
OR
- If you decide to send your documents directly to our office, you must include a return PREPAID AIRWAY BILL from the company of your choice (UPS, FedEx, DHL) in order for us to send them back to you. Failure to include such will delay your application as our office will not cover the costs of returning your documents.
