help required to find NOC code

I'm working as Scientific Research & Experimental development (SR&ED) Analyst/Engineer in a company. I was looking through the NOC list to get a code for my job but not sure about any of them. Can anybody advise me any code who knows about SR&ED jobs or even if it qualifies as skilled work. Additionally I have mechanical engineering degree, so can I use mechanical engineering NOC code as my NOC code?

If the Main Duties of Mechanical Engineer fit your job description, you can use 2132:

Otherwise, try 2148, Other Professional Engineers, n.e.c., which specifically includes R&D in the Main Duties.
