help required for visitor visa in new york

Hey All,

I have recently applied for visitor visa for Canada by mail and I did not realized that new york canada consulate is closed until further notice.But some one had accepted my package that was sent through USPS. My concern now was will my application will be processed ,if not how do I get back my passport

1. It is the Visa Application Centre that closed, not the New York Consulate. If you sent your application to Immigration Section

you will be fine, if you sent it to the VAC, it will eventually come back. I assume you don't require bio-metrics, because if you do, you can only apply on line.
