Dear Everyone!(need Help ASAP)

Straight to the point,Can I use debit card for the payment to the federal skilled visa for Canada??I am in the UK right now and the banks are not issuing Bank Drafts or money order in Canadian Dollar at all and my credit card does not have enough credit limit (money) to pay for the initial fees of visa application for 2 i.e Canadian dollar 1100 . I was thinking if I could use Prepaid Credit card but then will it be accepted in Canada as the fees deduction process is going to take place in that country??Has anybody used it before to pay the fees??I don't have cheque pads right now and even if I have it how can I use it to pay them in Canadian dollar(unlikely that I am going to use cheque anyway )and one more thing,If i pay the sufficient amount to my credit card company as an installment lets say about 1000 pounds(not Canadian dollar) will my credit limit increase immediately (bearing in mind that I have never paid such huge amount as an installment before) so that I could use my credit card to pay for the fees or the bank will have their own system to determine the credit limit not allowing me to pay the fees because they(bank) have not given me the enough credit limit to use my credit card for the fees payment purpose.

I know I have asked too many questions but any help would be appreciated. As I have all the papers sorted the only thing stopping me to apply is payment.

Thank You.

Thank You.

Hi!

1) You can't pay by debit card.

2) You can't pay by personal cheque.

3) You can pay by prepaid master card like cash plus, freedom eagle, virgin, bread etc. They are good to go and would definitely work. Just make enough funds available in pounds and remember these prepaid card companies also charge you fees like 2.9% etc and exchange rate too so make sure to have enough funds on card.

Thanks

How and where can I buy a Prime Card?
In shops: You can buy a Prime Card at thousands of high street stores displaying the street stores displaying the PayPoint or epay sign. There's a store on almost every high street in London, but there are also stores outside of the capital where you can buy a Prime Card today. Soon, the card will be available across the whole of the UK. Simply ask the retailer for a Prime Card, stating the value you‘d like to load onto it between £10 and £400 plus a one-off card purchase fee of £5. The retailer will hand you a pack (containing the card and terms and conditions) and a receipt. Click here to find your nearest shop selling Prime Card

Well thank you Cocknbull for ur reply!! Anyway it looks like that i have no other options left other than using prepaid credit card. However, when i went through few sites i found people were writing the disadvantages of the use of prepaid credit card has for example not every company especially if it is an international one, are not accepting it since it does not have real credit value and that they fear the unavailability of the funds when required.

These are the things i was really worried about because if the payment is not gone through because of some technical reasons or something else they will return the application and the loss of the time is the one thing i really can not afford.

I was thinking to go for a reliable company like Thomas cook or post office for the purchase of the credit card as they are bigger and well known (at least i think) instead of going for anything else.

your information was really helpful.Thank you

hi

i must tell you i have used variety of prepaid cards. the best one i found was cash plus.. virgin was also good but as i said they can take some time to arrive. all of these cards worked perfectly as far as i used both nationally an internationally. i never encountered any problem like unavailabilty of funds.

the easiest one to get is idtprime, you just buy from shop then register online in your name and address then send them your ID to make it relaodable to £5000.

thx
