Hi All,

Do you suggest to take insurance for the first three months in Canada?

If yes, Should I take it in India or in Canada when I land?
and What kind of Insurance do I need to take?

Thank you

Regards
Karishma

I agree. Buy insurance in Canada.

Even if you don't take, you will be fine. You can get over the counter medicines for flu, cold etc.

However, it's always good to have an insurance.

Having life or health insurance is always a good idea to safeguard your wealth. Of course, basic necessities take precedence so only buy one in Canada once you are all settled.

I would suggest look for Insurances here in India. They are cheap compared to India and it can be customized to your benefit. Again I would suggest you research thoroughly. There are many Canadian Companies in India which offer you Insurance and the insurance kick's in ASA you land in Canada. Manulife is the largest insurance company currently and their coverage is also pretty good. Also checkout this link https://arbetovinsurance.com/visitorstocanada/

There is another option. You can register with Four Corners Health Care (fourcornershealthcentre.ca) where you can avail free health checkups and many other benefits relating to health. Note- medicines are not covered. Again research before jumping in.

Best of luck.

Hope this helps.
