i think you did not enter 'name and a/c no.' in the ''remittance information'' field on bank wire form, did you ?

@ Sana90

I have just checked my GIC account opening application, did not find anything like "'name and a/c no.' in the ''remittance information'' field on bank wire form"..

Pardon me but I am talking about account details.. and not about wire transfer, since I have not transferred my money because account details yet to be received from Bank.

You can open and even deposit funds in GIC by offer letter of any college. The name of college or university is not mentioned on GIC.

Best of Luck.

No it will not create any trouble. GIC is only a proof of evidence by the VO that you have funds and it does not have the nam eof your college written on the form. So do what ever it takes to get a visa!!
Once you come to Canada getting your money is just a walk to scotia bank.

Before you begin, please review the following notes:
  • Scotiabank must receive $10,200 CAD.
  • Incoming wire transfers will be rejected with funds being returned (less our charges) in the following scenarios:
  1. If Scotiabank receives less than $10,200 CAD. Note: All fees associated with sending the wire transfer must be paid by you
  2. If a wire transfer is sent from a source that is not a financial institution in India where you hold your account.
  3. If payment is received from a third party (e.g. parents, relatives, friend, etc.).
Please use the following information when sending a wire transfer:
