hello folks.

Hoping someone can clarify for me...

Parental Sponsorship, submitted application in December 2017 received email Oct 11th advising to submit passport as it is ready for visa.

Twist:
Email came from Manila, Philippines Visa Processing Office on Oct 11th. Email stated to inform THAT office if there is any change to the mailing address, phone number etc.

Parents are currently in the US, Philippine Passport holders so they will need a visa to enter Canada. There is no VAC office in the US. so we are planning to send the passports to the VAC office in Manila. My aunt ( mom's sister ) is going to drop it off and hopefully pick it up from that VAC office.

Question 1: They requested to complete Appendix B: Appendix B requires a mailing address and a phone number. I was planning to put in our Philippine Home Address/phone number. ( for couriering back the passport).

That mailing address is going to be different than my parents current mailing address which is in the US. should i need to advise CRC about this? they can't go home, they are flying from US to Canada once the passports are stamped with visas.

Question 2: when i emailed the Manila Canadian embassy, or immigration, for clarification. they emailed back saying that they have no file of us and that they are not involved in processing of our visa application. Confused!!!

if anyone can help, would be great. I have now 25 days to submit the passport of my parents!

What Visa Office was processing their application? If your parents are going to be in the US until they go to Canada, the passport can be processed in Ottawa and sent back to a US address via pre-paid courier. That is how they process US applicants. Submit a webform to your current visa office explaining the situation and ask them if you can submit the passports to Ottawa instead. I don't know if your aunt would be allowed to pick up their passports in Manila so I would check on that first if you decide to go that route.

Thanks for the feedback.

Ottawa is the processing office. I did send an email to the Ottawa office to state my case and called them today and the agent said the same thing.

I guess i am just triple checking because i want to make sure this gets done correctly. :)

I will now have to wait for Ottawa to let me know.

Thanks
