help!! quick question

My study permit and trv expires on September 20. I have recently got accepted to a university and I have applied for a new study permit which has been in process for 3 weeks now.

I need to travel in early June and come back by end of august. My concern is if my new study permit gets approved and sent to my address while I am traveling, will my current valid study permitbbe void?

Can I still travel with my current study permit?
Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I think your study permit should be good until it expires on Sept 20 regardless if they issue you a new one. I'm not entirely sure but you can ask CIC call centre. Also, what I did before was I asked a friend to mail my newly issued permit to me since I also had to travel outside Canada while my application was processing. Best of luck!

Your current SP, if you return before Sept 20, won't be void. You must have a valid SP + TRV + PP to return.
